Math
This week we will work on 2-digit and 3-digit subtracting with and without borrowing based on place value. (Standard 3.NBT.A.2) We will continue to practice different subtraction strategies/ methods in class this coming week.
Social Studies
In Social Studies we are studying Citizenship. This includes the rights and responsibilities that we have as a citizen.
Science
In Science we will compare solids, liquids, and gases based on their basic properties. We will also recognize that air is a substance that surrounds us, takes up space and has mass. (3.P.2.1 & 3.P.2.2)
Literacy
In Literacy we will continue to visualize to sense of text. The students will use schema and inference informally as they visualize.
In writing we will continue to explore Personal Narratives. The students will choose a topic/ small idea and begin to draft their personal narrative story.
In grammar this week we will continue to identify and use adjectives.
This week for vocabulary we will introduce new words. We will also take our Words Their Way placement test.
