Math
In math, students are finishing up work on addition and subtraction one-step word problems. Students need to be able to write an equation that accurately represents the word problem with a variable for the unknown number. 346 + n = 467. Some students have already started multiplication and division. We are looking at the strategies for solving multiplication problems. Repeated addition 3+3+3+3 or 4 x 3 =12, Groups 4 groups of 3 = 12, Arrays
4 rows of 3 = 12, and Commutative Property 4 x 3=12 3 x 4 =12.
